The leading cultural event of Mylopotamos and one of the most important in Crete is the annual cultural festival “Tallaia” of the Municipality of Mylopotamos, which is organized in all settlements. The “Tallaia” festival includes cultural actions to highlight, preserve and promote the cultural heritage, actions concerning alternative tourism and the environment as well as nutrition throughout the territory of the Municipality of Mylopotamos. The events are organized by the Culture – Tourism and Youth Organization of the Municipality of Mylopotamos “Aulopotamos” in collaboration with the cultural associations of the settlements of the Municipality.
