The Museum of Woodcarving Georgios Koutandou is housed in a newly built two-story building in Axos Mylopotamos, at the foot of Psiloritis. The artist’s workshop is housed in the same building. The themes of the sculptures include traditional folklore forms and themes, representations of nature, religious and social content. The museum’s permanent collection consists mainly of life-size sculptures but also some of very large dimensions such as “The Eagle and the Office” about six meters long.
