The Holy Church of Agia Irini in Axos is located inside the settlement. It is built according to the architectural type of the single-chamber vaulted roof with a dome, to which it has been added on the western narthexes. The dome is accented with a carved ashlar arch resting on colonnades. The remains of the fresco decoration include scenes from the Christological cycle as well as individual saints mainly in the eastern part of the temple. It dates back to the 14th century.
